I chatted with Ian Romanick on Monday about this; the general concensus was that fixing OpenGL and GLX to be able to do 'real' drawing to pixmaps was a daunting proposition. Probably much harder than adding SetWindowPixmap. So, I'll come up with a separate proposal for SetWindowPixmap as an extension to Composite instead of RandR. Meanwhile, I'll see if I can't get the basic per-CRTC pixmap stuff running. -- [email protected]
