Julien & I cherry picked several fixes last week to server-1.7-nominations, and Jeremy fixed our mistake this morning by pushing them to server-1.7-branch and closing the server-1.7-nominations branch.
Since I'm trapped on 1.7.x by Intel at the moment (there being no version of xf86-video-intel that supports both 1.8.x or later and a kernel without KMS, and the KMS support for our kernel not being ready yet), I'll be shipping 1.7.x in our fall release, and could thus use a 1.7.8 release if one was made. Would a 1.7.8 be useful to anyone else besides our two distros? Are there any fixes suitable for 1.7.8 that are not yet cherry-picked to server-1.7-branch that would be wanted by anyone else? http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/log/?h=server-1.7-branch (I'm not proposing multiple release candidates or a multi-week test cycle, just simply running make distcheck & posting 1.7.8 tarballs in the next week or two.) -- -Alan Coopersmith- [email protected] Oracle Solaris Platform Engineering: X Window System _______________________________________________ [email protected]: X.Org development Archives: http://lists.x.org/archives/xorg-devel Info: http://lists.x.org/mailman/listinfo/xorg-devel
