The only difference is added support for R200 and R500, but those code paths should not be executed on your card. In fact, the card used for development is an RS690. There is one more difference though, and that's that EXA vsync is not disabled in the final patch. Perhaps Myth is doing some rendering in parallel with the video that is messing things up.
