Hi all,

Sorry for posting it here since it is totally OT but since some of you
have the same motherboard as mine maybe someone might be able to help me.

I have a Gigabyte EG45M-DS2H motherboard, E8400 Core 2 CPU and 2x1GB
Kingston memory (KHX8500D2K2/2GN), BIOS settings are set to "load
failsafe defaults".

I ran memtest86 2.11 and It reports strange errors :
  - only one module on DIMM 1, 2 or 3 -> no problem
  - only one DIMM on DIMM 4 -> "unexpected error - halting"
  - two modules on DIMM 1 & 2 (so single channel) -> no problem
  - two modules on DIMM 1 & 3 (dual channel) -> thousands of errors
  - two modules on DIMM 1 & 4 (dual) -> thousands of errors and
"unexpected interrupt" or just freeze
  - two modules on DIMM 3 & 4 -> doesn't even boot (no POST)

Has anybody with this board experienced issues like this?
I suppose it's just faulty hardware but I don't know if this problem is
caused by bad RAM or faulty memory controller or anything else (I don't
have other hardware to do more tests). Any idea?

thanks.
