Dear Andreas,

It's in principle a nice feature to have, but in general I'm unhappy
with the user interface aspects of making a feature work with a specific
mouse button. In a pen-based workflow, different buttons do very
different things, and in particular when I work in xournal, all drawing
operations are left button, all erasing operations are middle button,
and all selecting / clipboard / resizing operations are right button --
because those correspond to different pieces of my pen and it wouldn't
make logical sense e.g. to use the eraser tip to resize with variable
aspect ratio and the side button of the pen to resize with fixed aspect
ratio. (I'm also unhappy with the idea of using a keyboard modifier
like Control to enable a feature because the Control key is not
available in tablet mode).

So: while I'm aware this sort of UI makes perfect sense for mouse-based
computing, the hybrid nature of xournal makes it necessary in my mind to
refrain from overloading features with modifiers activated by changing
the button or pressing a modifier keyboard key.

Anyway: I'm not trying to discourage people from having such a feature
updated and added to some of the repos, just explaining why in its
current form I'm not too excited about it.

Best,
Denis
