Hi Immi,

as for xrandr it is just the part screen mirroring feature. However, you
have to create a set-up for each and every projector (if they are not
really identical) even having nominal the same resolution, they slightly
differ (by a few pixels). I simply ended up with a couple of (one for each
room) bash scripts, from which I call one right before my lecture.
As from xournals side, you only have to take care that you use the same
magnification. Usually you want to make the slight as big as possible on
your screen without the need of scrolling. This part of the screen you
will mirror by xrandr. One more note, if the resolution of the projector
and the resolution of your screen differ a lot, you might miss fine
details on the projector screen (e. g. a very thin line or arrow) this is
due to anti-alasing features of the projector, its a feature not a bug
(and has definitely nothing to do with xrandr or xournal).
Beside of xrandr I use xinput and wacom settings to rotate the screen and
make sure the pen rotates as well, I switch off touch, thus I have no
trouble with my handwrist touching the screen. This for sure depends on
your hardware settings. I use a lenovo thinkpad Yoga 14 which rotates the
screen in tablet mode.

I can post my settings on github if you are interested.
greetings
Torsten
