I'm trying to get XF86 to work with a Trident TGUI9440 video card. The
server will only start up in 640x480x8-bit mode. The log reports that it
refuses to use the default mode, "800x600," citing a "bad mode
clock/interlace/doublescan."
I checked the Cards database with xf86config, and it said that with this
particular card, I shouldn't supply a clock setting or even probe for one.
So how should I go about getting the settings right for this card? (It is
listed as compatible ... )
