It's not _too_ difficult to add support for rotation to an existing
XFree86 driver. The problem is, it's more or less essential that
whoever does the work must have a machine with the hardware in question
to test on. And the people who do this kind of thing tend not to buy
oddball hardware like the Geode...
Looks like the cyrix driver has already gone through the cfb->fb switch,
so the biggest hurdle is past. If you'd like to do the work, take a
look at how other drivers have had ShadowFB support added.

you'll get the benefit of everyone else's knowledge as well as mine.
