That's not the Xinerama protocol you want. That is the pending
X.Org specification which none of the current applications support
(I am one of the authors of that specification).

Yes, I wrote XFree86's current Xinerama protocol because Raster and
Mandrake were bugging me about what they could do if they had knowledge
of the layout.
