Im using debian sid, which has Xfree 4.1 (tho the problem applies to
XF4.0 too). The problem is that sometimes when changin from a console
terminal to a Virtual terminal (X) the Xserver crashes, but lets my vid
card unusable, usually it displays the last image i had from the desktop
with a strange color bar in the top...
My video card is a Geforce 2 GTS and i tried using both, the
xserver-xfree86 "nv" drivers and also nvidias driver.
Both fail in the same way and conditions. I also tried disabling AGP in
the kernel and changin agp from 2x to 4x in os-registry.c (from nvidias
drivers) ... same thing.
Well hope that someone can help me.
