It's my understanding that Gareth at VA was/is working on this. I haven't
had a chance to look at that branch in the DRI CVS to see what kind of
shape it's in.

I'm working on integrating Vladimir's patch for this. I'm reworking it so
that much of it can also be used by other drivers.

3) Finish off the remaining XAA primitives (including RENDER);
4) Merge in (from XF86_Mach64) >8bpp support for DAC found on the older
GX/CX based adapters.
There's also a few more minor things that I mention in README.ati.
