how do you propose getting the audio clocks from audio boards? well,
obviously it's a secondary priority to learn about the audio bits, and
more important to bring the accessibility under the same hood for an X
application... e.g. a DVD player is a good example of an app that really
needs to time its actions according to the video clock and know where the
audio is playing as well...

do you know of any volunteers by now? or do we (me & my workmate) have to
report ourselves as volunteers? :-) the vertical retrace isn't on the top
of our priorities, right now there's a whole lot other stuff to work on :(
