Title: XF86 4.1.0/Linux and Rendition V2200

I have a 4MB Hercules Thriller 3D card in my new *nix box (Mandrake 8.1/FreeBSD4.2/Solaris8). I just installed Mandrake, which includes XF86 4.1.0 and thought everything went well. when I use X, I noticed that screen redraw is terribly slow with this card. I checked it again with 3.3.6 (FreeBSD) and noticed the same thing. Dragging a window around under any window manager is horrible unless I select "box-style" for window resizing and movement. I had a similar problem with the same card under Windows98 with the generic driver supplied by Rendition. In order to get it working correctly, I had to specify the RAMDAC speed in a registry key(in this case, it's 230MHz) to get it working properly. Is this something I need to do again (specify the RAMDAC speed), or is 2D with this chip simply like this?
