i am running Xfree 4.0.2 and i have the same problems. Mozilla (and probably other
gnome/gtk?) programs ignore my setting:
u i o
Mode_switch + j k l <space> are digits.
m - .
Even more: Mozilla obeys in html-forms, but in the URL/location field it obeys
_only_ for the first character!
my window-manager sawfish ignores mode_switch too (based on GTK?).
I start to be interested in the problem, but know absolutely nothing about X
internals.
Perhaps Xemacs (the GTL version) did the right thing, but i'm not absolutely
sure. However emacs does and that's what i care about.
