It's me again,

So, I am now a little bit closer, I got my config file from
X -configure and it looks pretty reasonable (very close to what Adam
sent me). The /var/log/XFconfig.log also look decent.

Still, I have a problem, when I run startx, I get some random, mostly
blue,..er... stuff, that slowly stabilize (freeze actually) in a serie of
very nice horizontal "waves" (don't know how to describe it better).
Then I only can restart the computer whith a Ctrl+Alt+Del (can't even
switch to another screen with Ctrl+Alt+F<n>).

Has anyone experienced such a thing ? I guess I should modify the
modelines, but the config file doesn't contains any (I guess it relies
on some predefined builtin set of modelines ?).

Any hint, pointer etc...

Thanks,

Alain
