| No, I don't recall I did. Will let you know what gives (probably after
| the weekend)

Well, the result is a bit dual. With the XkbDisable option I do have
indeed the default Linux kernel map (Dutch). I have dead keys and the
lot. So that's great!...
.. but the AltGr key (RightAlt) is being ignored. And that is a rather
vital key with the Dutch keymap. So I am half way there now. Can we
conclude from this that 4.1.0 is bugged wrt the AltGr part? Is there
still something I can try?

My keyboard section now looks:
Section "InputDevice"
  Driver "Keyboard"
  Identifier "Keyboard[0]"
  Option "Protocol" "Standard"
  Option "LeftAlt" "Meta"
  Option "RightAlt" "ModeShift"
  Option "XkbDisable"
EndSection

Again, you help is tremendously appreciated!
Cheers
