I have a new ATI Radeon 8500, and it's not being detected by XFree86. I had it shipped next day air direct from ATI so It may not even be a week old. I'm running Debian (Woody) and am having trouble recompiling XFree86 in the Debian manner. I also was trying to get the cvs working, it seems I have to download all the *,v and other cvs files I don't want. Dose any one know how I should get XFree86 www.XFree86.org was most unhelpfull. Is FTP going to have what I need? If there is any thing I can do to help letme know. XFree86 has found a valid card configuration. Unfortunately the appropriate data has not been added to xf86PciInfo.h. Please forward 'scanpci -v' output to XFree86 support team.
