The newest driver (2.4.16 or 2.4.17-preX - [I'm not shure] didn't crash
anymore - there where some updates for the sisfb ...) - but only the
external VGA connector worked properly for me - the LCD becomes black.

Yes. I tryed to debug it, too. (I build a null-modem cable extra for this ...).
