You are not alone, I was last able to update from the cvs server on
Monday.I have yet to try today.

Yeah. See my message on the 8th "CVS Extraction working?" If you do a cvs checkout xc it works, but hangs on the very last file in the tree. If you do cvs checkout -r xf-4.1.99.4 xc you get nothing. Also, cvs update xc works, still hanging on the last file. Smells like a server issue to me as well, or at least a XFree86.org/Sourceforge issue.
