It looks like our public cvs server was getting bogged down. I've reconfigured a few things to help handle the load better, and it seems to be working OK now. Someone else noted cvs hanging at the last file. It isn't unusual for there to be some delay between processing the last file and finishing -- it does some cleaning up then.
