It compiled fine, here: XFree86 Version 4.1.99.5 / X Window System (protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6600) Release Date: 7 January 2002 libHAL extracted from mga-133_143-source.tgz Although it seem to take much longer to initialize the graphic-mode (>5 seconds?). I was running a 4.1.0 with an older libHAL (I do not know which libHAL it was before ...) When I bought my MGA-450 libHAL was needed to get any signal out of the card - I think today it is only needed for TV or DVI output and a sepcial (merged?) Dual-Head mode (also if have not tested this - I only use it with the libHAL (because it also worked this way ;-) ). The snapshot I made can be found here: ftp://drocklinux.dyndns.org/software/xfree/xfree-cvs-2002-01-14.tar.bz2 A precompiled binary for the dRock distribution can also found in the 2002-01-17 directory of this server ;-) > regards, > > -- > Mark Lane > Hard Data Ltd. > mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Telephone: 01-780-456-9771 > FAX: 01-780-456-9772 > > 11060 - 166 Avenue > Edmonton, AB, Canada > T5X 1Y3 > > http://www.harddata.com/ > --> Ask me about our Dual Processor Athlon DDR RAM Systems! <-- > -->Or the New DDR Alpha Systems <-- k33p h4ck1n6 Ren -- Ren Rebe (Registered Linux user: #248718 <http://counter.li.org>) eMail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Homepage: http://drocklinux.dyndns.org/rene/ Anyone sending unwanted advertising e-mail to this address will be charged $25 for network traffic and computing time.
