Hi Bernd,

I too have a simialr problem on my laptop with Radeon Mobility chip. No
matter what mode i bootup my system and no matter what resolution i use
i get the lock up. Initially i felt it was the 8 Mb that i had on my
video card which is the problem but then even at a 640x480 resolution is
freezes. There got to something worng someplace.

Brend sorry for not being helpful. Any comments from the xperts ?

regards
