Well, Gnome, sawfish, enlightenment, etc won't work if I have the Nvidia driver on the main head either.
Dropping back to XF86's nv driver and removing the nvidia glx (running nv w/ the NVidia glx installed breaks =p) gets everything working fine and dandy. I'd love to run the accellerated Nvidia drivers but for now having extra screen real estate is more important.
