Hello all, i dont' know if this is the right place to make such a question.. if it 's not can some1 tell me where i can find som tips? Anyway the problem is that i substituted my 17" CRT monitor with a new 21", i modified the XF86config-4 file with the proper vert refresh and oriz refresh, and actually X starts... The problem is that, completely randomly, the Monitor resync every a while, resulting unusable. I tried then, with xvidtune, to find a modeline to lower the refresh frequency that was set at the maximum limit of the monitor specs (1600x1200@85Hz), but the problem persists : i arrived at 1600x1200@79Hz
I tryed with other resolutions like 1280x1024 but the problem still exists... The monitor is a Iiyama Vision Master 505 The video card is a ATI Technologies Inc 3D Rage Pro 215GP (rev 5c) 4 mb ram and the os is Debian linux (woody) running on SPARC. Btw the monitor is ok i tried it on another pc (windoze) and it works.
