Hello all,

Yes, I've done the legwork to try and find out what the proper XF86Config-4 settings
should be. I've tried turning off gpm, and going directly to /dev/psaux, without
success.

Here is my setup:

Dell Optiplex GX1
Debian Linux (woody, 2.4.17)
XFree86 4.1.0.1
MS Intellimouse PS/2 Compatible (this is what it says on the bottom of the mouse)

My relevant section from XF86Config-4:

Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier      "Configured Mouse"
        Driver  "mouse"
        Option  "CorePointer"
        Option  "Device"        "/dev/mouse"
        Option  "Protocol"      "imps/2"
        Option  "ZAxisMapping"  "4 5"
EndSection

/dev/mouse is symlinked to gpmdata. I've tried shutting off gpm, and changing Device
to /dev/psaux.  No dice.

Note that gpm works fine, and has the following setup:

device=/dev/psaux
repeat_type=ms3
type=imps2
responsiveness=
append=""
sample_rate=

I've also tried a variety of Protocol settings, removing the ZAxisMapping, and
pleading tearfully at the server.

Does anyone have any suggestions, or am I just hitting a bug? Thanks for your help!
