Hi there! I got a new Monitor, and I would like to set my refresh rate from 75 Hz to 100 Hz.
Graficcard: ATI Xpert 2000 (ATI 128 chipset) Monitor: HP p1120 XFree86 Version: 4.0.x (I think) I tried lots of stuff, like uncommenting Modelines with low refresh rates, or inserting "MinimumRefresh 100" into the subsection "Display", but nothing helps. The Monitor continues stubbornly to show up with 1024x786 @ 75 Hz. I know the Monitor can do 1024x768 @ 100 Hz, because that is how Windoze configurated it, when it was plugged in the first time. Is there any EASY way (I am a newbie) to say to my hardware: "I want 1024x768 @ 100 Hz, please do it" ? Please Help!
