Morning all... I've just updated my XFree installation from 3.something to 4.2 (via trying and failing to get 4.1 to work).
Unfortunately my graphics screen now flickers like crazy with the new X. This is using the same settings as my 3.? version. The flickering manifests itself as a kind of vertical-hold rolling of the screen, with what looks like a vertical retrace "tear" about 3/4 of the way down. Changing the clocks and mode settings seems to make no difference to this flickering - other, of course, than the mode becoming invalid under some circumstances .. but visually the effect seems the same, regardless of the numbers. I'm running at 800x600x16bit on a CT65548, on a Tosh Satellite Pro 410CDT. any ideas, folks ? thanks, Will.
