Sig 4 usually happens in one of two cases. 1) Trying to execute
non-executable code (like a bad function pointer might do). 2) A
broken compiler or building with incompatible options (like building
for a 686 architecture on a 586).
My guess is that this is a code generation issue. I suspect
the compiler and/or optimizations used. Of course, it could just
be a bad pointer (case 1) but I haven't heard anyone else complain
about this. Somebody will have to produce a gdb backtrace if they
want this fixed.
