In the function LoadStateExt (in riva_hw.c) it seems that crtc register 0x41 (screen) is written to on all architectures. On my Riva128, it seems that only 6 bits of crtc address are used, so writing to this register actually writes to crtc register 0x01. I guess this does not cause problems, since standard vga registers are written after the extended. -- Matan Ziv-Av.
