   The "nv" driver itself makes no port I/O access.  If there's
any port I/O going on, it may be in the RAC code.  I would
expect that the XFree86 RAC would not allow multiple versions
of the X-server to be concurrent on the same VT. 

   Egbert Eich would be the expert in that area.
