Hi all, I'm using RH7.2 (kernel 2.4.9) with XFree86-4.1 on S3 Triov64 card. It works fine. When I try to install RH7.3 (XFree86-4.2.x): my card was detected OK, the X server test during installation is OK. But after reboot, I can not run X at all. When I type "startx", XFree86 gives me an error about config file, which was created by RH installer.
So I try Xconfigurator but NO LUCK because this program gives me a core dump file :( I try play manually with XF86Config file with help of man page. Unfortunatly, I have NOT the luck with this version of XF86. X server does NOT WORK. The same errors were observed with config file of RH7.2. On this PC, with exactly the same hardware I have installed and ran succesfully X mode with: - RH5.2->RH7.2; - Mandrake7.2->Mandrake8.2; - SuSE-8.0; - Connectiva 7.0; - ASPLinux7.2,.... But now I can not with RH7.3 :( My config and log files can be viewed at: http://linux.nguyendai.org/XF86Config http://linux.nguyendai.org/XFree86.0.log (I not attached them here because of their size :) Any ideas for help me PLEASE!
