The VIAOs use several different graphics chips; without knowing which one it isn't clear where to start. If you put the config file (often /etc/X11/XF86Config-4) and log file (often /var/log/XFree86.0.log) on the web, or post it to me, I'll have a look. -- Dr. Andrew C.
