OK, I did a cvs update, remade and installed, and fair enough, I can get
it to run. However, display zooming seems to be even more broken than in
4.2.0. It froze the computer the first time I tried it under Xawtv
(which uses the v4l extension, I suppose). When I try it with plain
Gnome desktop, the primary display won't switch resolutions, but enables
the virtual display (with parts of screen being rubbish). The secondary
display switches resolutions, but I cannot get back to 1600x1200 anymore
(I get invalid scan freq. instead), and the lower resolutions mess up
the virtual display as well. Xv works better than before, though. I
won't get any artifacts on the primary display, although still no image
on the secondary.

I assume I would get all the candies working if I bought a cheap
second-hand PCI card for the secondary display?

Cheers,
