   You have to change the permissions of /dev/mem.  Note that doing this
just elimiated any security your system had.  DGA really shouldn't be
used and I regret that it's still in the X-server.  I would like it
to disappear in XFree86 5.0.

    It Ctrl-Alt-Backspace crashes, that would be a driver or server
bug.  It worked at one time.

    Pointer events give relative motion instead of absolute.  We had
been discussing fixing the XINPUT extension to do that instead so 
people wouldn't have to use DGA to get that behavior.
