Ah.
I thought there was some problem with DBE, but couldn't remember what.
Is there nothing we can do when the pixmap is in video ram ?

I take it that libGL does the swap though DRI, not through the X socket,
effectively using the client process not the server process ?

I take it that rewriting libdbe to use DRI (or libGL) isn't
a serious option ? Since they doesn't work for remote clients,
it could be a reduction in functionality :-(.
