The GeForce4 was released after 4.2.0 so if you want the "nv" driver
that comes with XFree86 to work on the GeForce4 you'll want to use
XFree86 built from CVS. Yes, I know some people have gotten their
GeForce4 MX cards to work with 4.2.0, but I know that many won't work
with 4.2.0. You could try the "nv" driver in 4.2.0 if you already
have 4.2.0 laying around. It might work, but if it doesn't you'll
need CVS.
Mark.
