having myself a presario 2710, in order to have a much better
handling of touchpad, mouse, and shutdown I enabled the
ACPI support in my kernel instead of APM and then I could
- shutdown correctly
- have the usb mouse considered independent from the touchpad
in short : nothing related to X ?
