Seems as if the X server did not recognize the graphics chip on your card. What 
kind of card do you have? What does "lspci -v" output? Which "Driver" did you 
specify in the "Device" section of your "/etc/X11/XF86Config-4" file? What is 
the contents of your "/var/log/XFree86.0.log" file?
