Using a G550 with mga_hal and recent CVS, if *from the console* I start a
true dual head (different output on each screen), then VT switch back to 
the console, the console appears on both screens.
Starting from a single head setup, the second head doesn't show the 
console on VT switch.
Like Dmitry, running a single head config blanks the other screen.
