Mark Cuss had in his server log:
> (WW) I810(0): xf86AllocateGARTMemory: allocation of 1024 pages failed
> (Cannot allocate memory)
> (II) I810(0): No physical memory available for 4194304 bytes of DCACHE
This could be the short term problem...AGP GART support is needed in
order to allocate more than the 1MB of memory. At 800x600x24bpp you
need more than 1MB.
The curious thing is why the driver didn't recognize this failure and
refuse the mode you requested.
