Yeah, I did notice the DDC report in the config log. I tried the suggested DDC modeline with no positive results. Then again, I can't seem to remember whether I attempted that with or without the HAL driver. I'll give it another test tonight when I get home. Do you have any idea at all why the HAL module would screw things up? I have NEVER been able to get a screen while using HAL. A perusal of the mga driver source makes me think that all HAL is used for is to enable the second head and set the timings. Do you know if that is correct? Who should I direct that question to?
