X4.2.1 is mainly a fix release for security/authentification only.
since that X branch is considered stable, merely critical things
in the core system are expected to be addressed with that.
its likely that the mentioned modification went into the development
tree for long term release X4.3.0 - its more than a nice-to-have feature.
Hmm, is there any other method of getting XFree86 binarys from the
development works despite from getting CVS source and compiling them?
Not any "RedHat 7.3" user wants to mess with cvs and compilers
but surely wants to give the current state of the art a test drive.
