I managed to get dual-head working and it was so simple. Thanks, at first, for your great software!
I use WindowMaker as my window manager, and I don't want to change. With the dual head, I get two instantiations of my standard WindowMaker configuration on both screens. This is amazing and cool, especially because I can cut'n'paste from one to the other. Moving Windows over to the other screen does not yet work, I suspect that's the +xinerama option. My question is something else though: I load about 30 processes with WindowMaker (Autostart). These load on both screens, even though I only want them to be on 0.0. This is because two WindowMaker sessions are initialized independently. Is there a single file that I could use to control both? I can put something like xterm -display :0.0 Into my .xsession to have xterm show up on screen 0, but when screen 1's xsession runs, it'll start another xterm, loading it onto screen 0. That's duplicated and i don't want that. Instead I would like two WindowMakers to start up side by side, and then use a single file to configure the autostarting programs. This file should only be evaluated once no matter how many screens there are. Any ideas? -- martin; (greetings from the heart of the sun.) \____ echo mailto: !#^."<*>"|tr "<*> mailto:" net@madduck sprecare tempo e' una parte importante del vivere.
