The Linux USB group (and probably a ton of others) have
linux-usb-devel: for questions about Linux USB development
linux-usb-users: for questions about Linux USB usage.

There is very occasional private email (either that, or I'm not on the list:-)
between developers. There are two private lists that I know of - one for the
mass-storage stuff (some NDA issues, I think), and one for our slush fund
(the Beanie award) discussions.

We get occasional cross-posting and a few people who think -devel is a way to
get help from a developer, rather than a way to do development, but it mostly
works OK. If you choose to answer a question on the wrong list, adding
"however this probably should have gone to -X list" can help.

Might be a model worth following?

Brad

BTW: Don't forget that the Beanie fund is trying to get rid of its cash - if
you need money to get toys, see http://www.linux-usb.org/beanieForm.html
