I found only 2.2.0.1 – and it shows the effect. And much more!

In Dock only generic application/terminal symbol, only and X menus
appear in system menu bar, the latter one unusable (no entries
appear). M-Q does not work, is absorbed by xterm or GNU Emacs 22.3 or
Sunclock, quitting works through Dock.
The same effect of unreadability with X11_Legacy.
It looks as if I should try to find a Mac OS X 10.5.0 install DVD...
