Regrettably, my xclock binary will not execute on the remote machine. I don't think it likes that binary. I can run it fine from my Mac, where it appears fine in XQuartz.
It is hard to believe that there is no test xclock or any X client app anywhere on the internet that I can just connect to with xquartz from my local mac and at least determine that a known x client application will work. Doesn't anyone know of such a test internet site. If it doesn't exist, the X community should make one to confirm that a mac X server, file wall, and X configuration settings are working over the internet.
