They latest CVS has good clipboard support when using X11rdp as the xserver. It relies on the xfixes xserver extension. You might have to build X11rdp server again, the xfixes extension was add not too long ago.
If you can find an Xvnc that that supports xfixes, Xvnc should work too. I found one that claims to support it but it doesn't work. I use Klipper( the KDE clipboard tool) to determine if xfixes is working. Tested with MSTSC and rdesktop. Text only at this point but there is no reason we can develop bitmaps, files, and the other supported client formats.
