Hello,

I would appreciate some help. I am a software developer. I use xrdp to
access linux machines using xrdp v 0.4.2. The linux o/s is slackware 12. The
problem which I have is the same across several target (linux) platforms,
After a fresh installation of the linux system and xrdp all is fine. I can
connect from windows machines using remote desktop. We have around 5 users.
After a period of time, weeks or months, it is suddenly no longer possible
to connect to the linux servers. Re-installing xrdp does not work. The only
solution which I have found is to completely re-install the linux system and
then re-install xrdp. All is then ok for another few weeks or months and
then the problem re-occurs.

I have tried to debug this by placing additional debug messages into xrdp
where these work. I can trace up to line 577 in xrdp_nm.c in function
xrdp_wm_log_msg() so it at least gets this far but then just hangs.

It may be that the problem occurs after a number of logins but this is pure
speculation.

I have tried removing temporary files in /tmp. On one machine this allowed a
single connection only. All subsequent connection attempts failed. On
another machine it did not help at all.

Can you help?.
