As of yesterday, I am single again!

My ex had been refusing to sign the Marital Settlement Agreement, which I sent
him in October, so we had to go to court. They managed to work out an
acceptable compromise, and we signed the papers on the spot.

I am very happy with the arrangements, and now I can get on with my life.
Maybe I will even spend more time doing cross-stitch instead of just vegging
in front of the TV. I haven't gotten much done the last 10 months because of
my state of mind, which means that this is the first year I haven't entered
the stitching contest at my local needlework shop.

There is a very nice, kind, thoughtful man in my life now, who says he plans
to spend the rest of his life making up to me for the horrible way my ex
treated me. (Typically, the best men come into my life when I'm not looking
for them, and that's what happened this time. I was planning to stay
unattached for a long time, but I must say that Brian is speeding the healing
process along more than I could have done alone.)
