When I was 21, I moved with my then-husband and our 1-year-old daughter from
Georgia to New Mexico. He was in the military. We couldn't fit all our
possessions into one U-haul, so our Christmas stuff got left behind.
I was trying to start from scratch at Christmas when I found some ornament
kits (3 complete) for $1.00. I bought all they had and taught myself to
stitch. From there, I began to fill our walls with pictures.
Now, some 14 years later, I am back in Georgia with my wonderful husband and
3 daughters (oldest is a freshman in high school this year), and cross stitch
is now not only my passion but my business as well.
